Griffith Foods is a producer in spices and food flavoring, among other products. Many employees in manufacturing work with a forklift, reach truck, aerial work platform, stacker or electric pallet truck. So that means they must also obtain the necessary certificates to drive these machines. New employees (permanent or interim) come to the Formaz training center in Ham, Limburg, for a three-day professional skills training. Employees who already have a certificate and just need a refresher come to the one-day safety training sessions.
For the BT devices (stacker), training continues at Griffith itself. The theoretical part of these in-company courses is conducted in group. This is followed by practice which is given on an individual basis. Upon completion, each successful participant will receive a safety certificate.
Griffith’s staff is not always Dutch-speaking. At Formaz, we provide training in Dutch, English and French so that we have an offer for everyone.
Thanks to in-company training, the trainers know the Griffith workplace very well. Trainers use this knowledge to best guide new employees in the open courses. The examples cited provide recognition so the material sticks better. That touch of extra makes for happy trainees and therefore a happy customer.
