A terminal tractor driver carries cargo (goods and containers) off and on across the terminal or transshipment site. Every employee operating a terminal tractor is required by law to undergo appropriate training.
If an exam is successfully passed after the training, the participant receives a certificate valid for 5 years. If not passing the exam, the participant will receive a certificate of participation in training valid for 5 years.
These trainings are organized in-company. The duration of the training varies according to the participant’s prior knowledge and the desired certificate/attestation.
Duration of training:
- A safety training course lasts one day, is designed for drivers with some experience and concludes with a safety exam. This course can also serve as 5-year refresher training. Some of the training can also take the form of on-the-job coaching.
- Proficiency training is available by arrangement.
