What is an hydraulic (excavator) crane:

These industrial machines use hydraulic systems.
Working pressures up to 400 bar are no exception.
There are various mobile cranes, crawler cranes, fixed cranes, mini excavators, each with various attachments.

Content:

This training includes 3 hours of theory in group and 1 to 5 hours of practice per participant.

Theory:

  • Summary of legislation
  • Basic knowledge of ARAB, Codex, liabilities and responsibilities.
  • Risks and accidents
  • Be able to identify, analyze and control risks specific to the job and equipment and space.
  • Safety regulations
  • Stability, tipping hazard
  • Driver requirements when driving on public roads with the crane
  • Construction of the crane: controls, brakes, wheels, motor, boom, excavator buckets, change system …
  • Working with the crane: grabbing, scooping, hoisting or clamping.
  • Know the elements that make up the starting control.

Practice

  • Be able to perform daily inspection correctly, recognize dangerous defects and report them.
  • Correctly mounting and dismounting
  • Be able to use the controls correctly.
  • Application of safety and traffic rules: defensive driving, interaction with people and other drivers.
  • Fueling
  • Working with a digging bucket
  • Working with attachments
  • Leveling, making trenches (with or without laser equipment), making slopes and ponds.
  • Maintaining good driving technique: controlling driving movements, looking in the direction of travel, adjusting driving speed, ensuring adequate distance, properly braking and taking turns …
  • Plotting plans
  • Be able to perform the following maneuvers: forward, backward, pivot, turning and cornering forward and backward, passing in very narrow passages, parking
