In this course, we group the machines electric pallet truck (pallet truck), stacker and low-level order picker into one course called “Small Internal Transportation” or SIT. Any employee who operates one of these devices is required by law to undergo appropriate training to do so.
If participants are 16- or 17-year-old job students, training is limited to the pedestrian electric pallet truck. The 18+ students may also operate a ride-along electric transpallet (subject to conditions). Under no circumstances should they drive the stacker.
These trainings can be organized at Formaz training centers or in-company if certain conditions are met.
Those who successfully pass an exam after the training receive a certificate valid for 5 years. If one does not pass the exam, the participant will receive a certificate of participation valid for 5 years.
Duration of training:
- A safety training course lasts one day, is designed for drivers with some experience and concludes with a safety exam. This course can also serve as 5-year refresher training. Some of the training can also take the form of on-the-job coaching.
- A proficiency training course lasts two days and concludes with a proficiency exam.
